SLT is 5/5 stars — hands down. We have tried multiple hybrid homeschooling programs. This one is by far the best one for our family. Not only does SLT make homeschooling “user friendly” for me as a dad, it’s also the only one that all of my kids have absolutely loved. My kids are there 3 days/week learning from the teachers and interacting with their friends. They come home with stories they’re excited to share, and not just stories about playing with friends at recess. Many of the stories are about what they learned in class or what kind of craft they worked on. Communication with parents is honestly flawless. We’re never confused about what they’re learning or engaging with. And if we have questions we know where to go to get quick answers. On the days that they are home, the curriculum that the school provides is really easy and simple to follow. I’ve been able to teach my kids while working from home because SLT not only provides the material but the base level understanding my kids need to continue learning and developing. I feel like I’m there to answer questions and encourage them along the way. But I still get to be the primary teacher and overseer of their education with complete control over what they learn and engage with. The teachers don’t push the kids to learn — they do a great job of partnering with us in encouraging them to pursue knowledge. One of my kids was really struggling with math. SLT gave me the tools I needed to address the issue with positivity and we quickly turned it around. Now math is one of their favorite subjects. I have much more I could say — but SLT really is amazing. I don’t know where we would be without them.
